Shanghai Foreign Investment Service Center (SFISC) , was founded in October, 1991. It directly reports to Shanghai Foreign Investment Commission.

SFISC comprises office, consulting sector, agent sector, comprehensive sector, development sector and trade sector. It provides the following services:

*Introducing the local investment environment; providing consulting services on investment laws, regulations and rules; advising on the evaluation of the potential projects; receiving overseas investors.

*Acting as the legal agent for foreign companies to set up their resident representative offices in Shanghai.

*Acting as the legal agent for overseas Chinese scholars to establish enterprises.

*Undertaking Preliminary market research for overseas enterprises.

*Headhunting as well as being regular consultant on laws, regulations & policies for foreign-invested companies.

Shanghai Foreign Investment Enterprise Association

The Association is a social-economic body formed on a voluntary bass by foreign-invested enterprises, enterprises invested in by Taiwan compatriots, Overseas Chinese, and Hong Kong and Macao compatriots, as well as other related organizations.

The majoy tasks of association are as follows:

1. to provide member companies with information through information and consultation conferences, or in the forms of the Association’s periodicals and newsletters;
2. to look into the difficulties and problems faced by member companies, reflect their views and demands to related governmental departments and present proposals for improving investment environment and business operation conditions;
